On 21st November, once again it’s the annual Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM). It is one of the largest event held in Penang every year since 1985. This year there are about 23,500 participants!! Just imagine how flooded the little island will be :D

This is the first year I participated in Full Marathon. I have been tempted to participate in Full Marathon, but did not have the courage to do so until this year.. LOL

However, due to my laziness and ill-prepared training, my legs start to cramp at 25km mark and each step is dragging me down but I’m determined to reach the finishing line before 6 hours. It was such an experience that it started to rain heavily and this is the first time I ran a marathon under heavy rain. I have to say.. it was really fun! I feel refreshed, picking up speed and didn’t feel much dehydrated (probably due to the free flow of water from the sky :D ).

Each time I run a marathon, I learn about life from the experience. I really love running a marathon. I have told myself I wanted to retire from marathon after completing a full marathon but I doubt it’s going to happen.. hehe..

I completed the full marathon in 5 hours 40 minutes. I hope to be better prepared next year.. and to achieve a better result for myself.. after all, a marathon it’s my own race :D

Marathon is not a race with other runners, it’s an experience in with other runners in a life challenging event. Enjoy each step, feel good to be alive and have fun!

The Singapore Action Script Conference or known as Flash Camp is organized by tac.sg, which is held on 14th and 15th September 2009.

The 2 days conference is to hel at One Marina Boulevard from 9am to 5pm. Those who are interested can register and buy the ticket through online for the 2 full days conference.

On the first day of the conference, we started off with registration, and seated ourselves in the auditorium.
The first speaker, Ryan Stewart spoke on Adobe Flash Collaboration Services.
Flash Collaboration Services allow users to share documents, real time multi user whiteboards, chat and allow the administrator to track activities.
After that Aleph Labs shared with us their success stories, presented by Arvand.
Followed by, Andre Michelle shares his amazing flash audio DSP which we watched in awe.
Later of the day, Alvin Zhang presented multi-touch coffee table, and Marco Casario presented the new features in Flash Builder 4.
Leif Wells up next, shared with us Adobe Flash Catalyst, which I find it very useful. We are able to use this to mock application flow.
There is a presentation from iak.sg as well, an ecommerce site using wordpress. It was a good site with very unique product, where you can dress up your babies to be like rockers. lol
On the second day of the conference,  Michael Plank presented Flex Development Environment, which is very useful to a lot of media agencies out there. He showed us the different tools and frameworks being used, and he uploaded his photos + slides for us. Just the start of the day and we had a very informative session! =)
The second presenter, Mark Barcinski shared with us Papervision 3D. I was totally impressed on what flash can do, as I am not a flash person at all.
Next few other presenters shared with us on Adobe Air by Peter Elst, Stefano Virgilli shared with us on After Effects (this is cool) and Model Driven Development by Mohammed Khan. Oh ya, we have Stefan Wessels who shared with us Flash Lite 3 and phone API’s which is definitely a new thing for me to explore.
The speakers are humble and knowledgeable, and each of them did a very good presentation. Glad I attended the conference =)
