Robotic Girlfriend

Today, in the news, a life size robotic girlfriend has been created by a company named TrueCompanion. From the snippet of news, it is known that the robotic girlfriend has different personalities, and their personalities are customizable (woww!!)

Customise your ‘girlfriend’
ROXXXY comes with five personalities. Wild Wendy is outgoing and adventurous, while Frigid Farrah is reserved and shy.
There is a young naive personality along with a Mature Martha that Hines described as having a ‘matriarchal kind of caring’. S & M Susan is geared for more adventurous types.
Aspiring partners can customize Roxxxy features, including race, hair colour and breast size. A male sex robot named ‘Rocky’ is in development.
People ordering the robots online at truecompanion.com detail their tastes and interests much like online dating sites but here, the information is used to get the mechanical girlfriend in synch with her mate.
‘She knows exactly what you like,’ Hines said of Roxxxy, noting that Rocky will also come with personalities.
‘If you like Porsches, she likes Porsches. If you like soccer, she likes soccer.’ — AFP

Other than the fact that the robotic girlfriend can’t do housework and can’t cook (which many of us can’t anyway :p) , the robotic girlfriend, Roxxxy stands five feet, seven inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, has a full C cup and is ready for action.  (0.O)

The amazing part is that this invention of robotic girlfriend actually trying to replicate the personalities of real human, real woman. On the bright side, less people will go for prostitutes and for some men, who want to experiment without risk. However, this does give me a shock, on what human can invent (other than cloning, now a robotic girlfriend with personality!)

Wonder what will happen in the next 10 years. Will the sexy robotic girlfriend be a replacement as man’s companion in time to come, or the world will be a healthier world with less diseases associated with sex. Do share your thoughts.

Penang Bridge International Marathon(PBIM) 2009 was held on 22nd November, 2009.  This marathon is a yearly event held in Penang, popular among runners. Penang Bridge Marathon, or also previously known as Penang Bridge Run, was held every year since 1985. In 2009, this year, it is known as Penang Bridge International Marathon. This marathon attracts runners from all around the world as well as Malaysians and Penangites.

Roads were closed when this yearly event is held and runners get to run on Penang Bridge, which is the third longest bridge in the world. During other days, the bridge is only open for vehicles to drive to and fro between Penang island and Butterworth. Thus this marathon gives us the opportunity and is the only time we get to run and walk on the bridge.

There are 3 marathon categories ;-

1) Full Marathon (42.195km)

2) Half Marathon (21km)

3) Quarter Marathon (10km) (13 – 15 years old only)

4) Fun Run (10km) (13 years old and above)

I have imported the Penang Bridge International Marathon 2009 results at

I have always been reading his comic, and it shocked me that he is dead now.. He died at the age of 51, and may he rest in peace. Condolences to his family, I believe all his fan will always remember his work.

Usui,
Thanks for entertaining us with your comic. I enjoy reading your comic a lot, and it always make me feel happier. I have always waited for your comic to be out in my country and will buy it immediately each time I saw a new episode is out. May you rest in peace.

Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2009

Yellow Ribbon Prison Run is held on 6th September 2009, Sunday. The flag off for the 10km run is at 7:30am and I was so excited for the run, I actually woke up 3 minutes before my alarm goes off. I reached Expo at 6.30am to take the shuttle bus provided, and there are quite a number of runners waiting for the bus too. Everyone looks energetic, well prepared and definitely looking forward for the run. I can’t wait! This is a run whereby participants in this run are giving a message of encouragement to the ex-offenders to pick themselves up after having fallen down. It is a project organized by Yellow Ribbon community, to encourage the society to give the ex-offenders a second chance.

When we reached the starting point area, we are supposed to deposit our yellow string bag (given to us during race pack collection). Everything is very well organized by the organizer and the volunteers involved. After deposited my bag at the counter, I walked slowly to the starting point, and there are instructors who guide us for the warming up session, along with music playing behind. I can actually feel the energy of the runners even before we started running!

The run was flagged off with a blast of honk, and the overwhelming crowd started running. I followed behind, (was standing quite behind) jogging slowly, hoping that I can finish the run without much problem.  It almost rained but luckily there was no downpour but it was windy and cloudy, just a perfect weather for a morning run.

Halfway through the run, there are many water stations, and volunteers who cheered for us and encourage us to run and run! Thanks to those who were there, both at the water stations, or at the cheering point, or at the turning point ready to help us whenever we are in need. We ran past the Changi Chapel Museum, Johore Battery, Changi Prison Wall before reaching the new Changi Prison Complex.

After the run, we went to collect our goodie bag, and we get food & drinks as well. There are quite  alot of stuff in the goodie bag! There’s a cap, a small towel, discount vouchers, etc. Look at the photo I posted =)

Though I’m tired, I really enjoyed the run. Was a very beautiful morning and I’m really glad I registered for the run. No regrets!

Pre – Yellow Ribbon Prison Run

I registered for the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2009 after I saw them promoting the run in one of the roadshows in Singapore.

It is just a 10km run, so I thought, why not? This run is quite different from other marathons, I would say. By participating in this run, we are giving a message of encouragement to the ex-offenders to pick themselves up after having fallen down. It is a project organized by Yellow Ribbon community, to encourage the society to give the ex-offenders a second chance. That’s very nice of them to organize this run, as many other marathons are just.. marathons.

We collected the race pack one week before the run. Actually I totally forgotten about the race until I receive an email reminder from Yellow Ribbon to collect the race pack. I was so so busy with work that I didn’t put it in my mind the run is just around the corner. Oh well, I collected the race pack, and here’s the T-Shirt! I think the Prison Run T-shirt is pretty nice =)
